What A Beautiful Day :)

The sunshine was out!! We gathered up all the sledding gear and headed for Truckee. We also HAD to stop at our favorite bakery to get hot chocolate, sourdough bread, and tasty donuts. The sledding was great, the kids had a blast and the weather was perfect.

The first run of the day belonged to Anton and daddy (who's having more fun?)

RJ loves to eat snow- stretching to get that last tasty bit

Someone had carved out little jumps on the hill, it added an extra thrill to the adventure

Ready for take off

See brother, this is how you make snowballs

I Miss These

Valentine's Day Parties (the ones where you get to exchange cute little cards.)

The traditional swapping of goodies. I feel so cheated though, they didn't have cool tattoos, pencils or other groovy extras back in the day when I was a little one.

I hope it's from the boy I like

No, that picture is not blurry, it's just showing action :) I'm trying new things with the camera.

Take a look into the bag of goodies

Happy Valentine's Day!

OUCH!!!

Anton is going to prove to be my biggest trouble finder. All the kids were playing so nicely. I decided to start on my morning routine, I didn't hear Anton sneak down the hall or get under our sink....where dad keeps his razor. I decided to check on the kids because it was a little too quiet. I found my little guy covered in blood and spent the next 30min. trying to stop the bleeding. He had sliced the tips of both of his thumbs and there was blood everywhere. I was proud that I didn't panic, although after about ten min. of pressure and no signs of the bleeding letting up, I got a bit nervous. Good thing KJ knows her numbers and knows how to use the phone. After a call to grandma and dad I was doing much better. We glued his cuts, applied barbie band aids and duct tape and thought that would hold him off. About two seconds later he had the band aid and the tape ripped off. It was now time to really ghetto him up. Two more band aids, lots of tape, and two pink socks later...all better.

Don't bite it off!!

Notice that both of the sock are saturated on the top. He tried all day to get those darn socks off. Finally he decided to make the best of it and go back to doing what he does best, playing and finding things to mess with.

Still managing to mess

Look at those sad eyes

Updates and February goals:

My dad is still in the hospital and not doing much better. He is supposed to go in tonight to get a tracheotomy. We are praying and having faith that things will slowly start to get better. Not much we can do at this point beside wait and see what happens. I'm trying to keep my thoughts occupied by staying busy at home, thus my goal for February is to finish painting the living room.(It will be done this month.) I'm about 2/3ish done, progress is good though. After that I will attempt to tackle my next idea (yet to be determined.)
