"BOO"jah

Hope y'all had a super creepy Halloween. Over here at the Burst mansion, well, we were quite spookafied! Here's some of the fun stuff we did.

face painting

Bento lunches- RJ has a meat and cheese cat, Halloween shaped fruit snacks, Halloween shaped chips, frozen grapes (which are very popular at our house)

Anton wanted a bat sandwich

What would Halloween be without carving pumpkins?

It takes a lot of "guts" to carve a pumpkin- HA,HA, HA! I couldn't resist

KJ carved LUCKY (her best chicken friend) into this pumpkin all by herself- I'm impressed

A little pumpkin pizza for dinner

A doctor, Little Red Riding Hood and Tinker Bell (expensive dance costumes make great Halloween costumes)

Greg's scary creation

Lightning McQueen- Anton was over the top excited about this guy :)

The Discovery

And what a discovery it was. Finally, Reno has done something cool, fantastic, and wonderful for children. Yesterday, we went to the discovery children's museum. What a great time we had. The kids were in tactile heaven (sooo many things to touch). It was very interesting for me as well, with all of the local artifacts and history to peruse. The cloud climber and the water were definitely the top attractions for the kids. I happened to enjoy the magnet station the best, in fact I could have played there for at least an hour. If you have not already checked this place out, I would put it on top of your list of cool things to do with your kids.

Way up high on the cloud climber

I was really excited to see the RENO arch- being a third generation Renoite and all

The wind tunnel- I really, really need one of these in my house. It kept Anton happy and entertained for over 10min. That might not seem like a long time to some of you, but he is TWO and it was a nice break.

Do you see what I mean about being two- he is getting up close and personal with the coloring wall. He had nice blue marks all over his face for the rest of our visit.

This came in a real close second to playing in the water. Anton had a blast moving the digger around and trying to get it to pick up rocks- no luck this time, I guess we will just have to come back and try again

water here, water there, water, water, everywhere! Anton threw a "small" fit (screaming, kicking, prostrating himself on the floor)when it was time to leave. No worries son, We'll be back.
