Monsoon Season

We have all heard the saying, "when it rains it pours". I think our family has taken that to the next level these past few months. It started with Anton jumping off the futon cutting his head open, then KJ pushed RJ off a bench and I thought she had a concussion. She was throwing up and saying that her head was hurting bad. I had to take her to the ER and after a full physical and a cat scan all turned out to be well. It was still very scary though. Our house also flooded and caused a lot of damage. Did I mention Greg was out of town for work during all of these happy times. Well, this weekend was no different from all the other good times we have been having lately. I got a call from my sister telling me she was in a car accident, and literally 10min. later Anton slipped in the bathroom and split his head open. Luckily, Greg was in town so he got to take him to urgent care. His head was glued back together and they took x-rays on his nose because they thought it might be broken, thankfully it wasn't. To top it all off I'm having a few health problems that I'm working through. When all is said and done, all we can do is smile and look for the clearing on the other side.

This is the best picture I could get- he was not very happy that I was trying to take pictures of him

Let's end on a happy note. I went to the Hunger Games movie this weekend. We had a pre-movie party and I made these awesome cupcakes on fire :) I won the "best food" category.

Morning Mischief

The traps were set- all we needed was to catch those tricky leprechauns. Unfortunately they outsmarted us again this year. KJ made two traps, the one made out of the egg carton didn't stand a chance, they stole the gold(a penny) and left the trap on its side by the front door. The second trap fared a little better, but in the end the leprechauns escaped out the back by cutting a hole through the box. All is well though, they left the kids with a series of clues that eventually lead to lots of yummy chocolate gold and gold nuggets.

Follow the clues and you will find a great reward

Gold, and lots of it! Unfortunately the house was a little turn upside down from our little green visitors. They mixed up all the dinning room chairs, put fire wood in the kitchen, played with Anton's cars, wore RJ's princess slippers and ate out of KJ's bowl. They also left their breakfast all over the table- Lucky Charms- what else. Even though we didn't catch them this year, we have high hope that next year will be the year.
