AWESOME!!

The State Fair was in town this past week and we took full advantage. The kids enjoyed a few of the rides, we walked through all the animal and wild west exhibits and it just wouldn't be a fair if we didn't take in the demolition derby!! (and a corn dog, and a candy apple.)

The Super Slide is always a great time

This year the Fair had a Nevada Territory Wild West theme, so they had a lot of neat exhibits to play with and look at

Does this ride take you back to the 80's or what?

Now for the best part of the Fair experience- The Demolition Derby (and eating that delicious candy apple :)

My favorite demo car- The Wambulance

KJ and RJ helped mommy eat the super delectable, juicy, extra chocolaty apple. It was my first one since I've had my braces off

The girls also rode this very creepy train with a freaky monkey holding a lantern on the back.

It Had to Be Done

Dread! Dread!

I always think to myself when the refrigerator starts looking a little bare that I should just take everything out and clean it from head to toe. Well, I never quite mustered up the energy, time, or braveness, until today. I was making a shopping list and opened the old gal up to see that she was running a little low. I had the "clean" thought again and decided that today was going to be the day. Don't judge a women on how clean or dirty her fridge is, just on the fact that she cleaned it up.

Mmmmmmmm! Chocolate pudding

1 Hour 45 minutes later...... and voila!

Shoot- No more chocolate pudding

Look'n good, Look'n good!

What A "GREAT" Trip

Last weekend we had a blast at Great America! We rode on all the rides several times, and just really had a good time together as a family. It was so nice to see our good friends the Nightingale's again.

View of Carousel Columbia as you walk in the front gate. This is a double decker carousel that we rode on several times.

Anton owned this ride. I don't even remember how many time he rode on it. He loved it because he could ride on it all by himself and when you pulled the stick it made the ghost go up and down. The huge smiles on his face and the laughter were priceless.

Mom, KJ, and RJ getting ready to take off on the log ride

Always nice to get a little wet on a hot afternoon. RJ loved the Log Ride and went on it with Greg later, but KJ was too afraid of the drop and she would not ride on it again.

This is a great ride! You feel like you are going to be dumped over the edge on every turn. KJ's face does not look too happy because this will be her second time on the ride and she knows it has some dips and crazy turns. This was my second fav. ride after The Grizzly (wooden roller coaster)

All the rides and excitement are bound to make you tired

Greg and RJ are the family coaster addicts

Yeah, Snoopy and I are old friends, I'm just waiting for him to look the other way so I can take another bite of his giant cookie

RJ and KJ were so happy that they got to meet all the Peanut Gang. Anton even gave Woodstock a kiss

This ride is dedicated to you Mummo Footastic. The Snail Races :) We all rode it several times in honor of you

KJ having a blast on Swing Swing Swing

Daddy and RJ getting ready to ride the kid version of the Drop Zone. I love how they are holding hands

Raija got to participate in the Celebration parade on Saturday afternoon. She had fun dancing with the Peanut gang. Lucky girl

We Love the Nightingales! Thank you for letting us have a nice place to stay and good people to visit with. We miss you already and hope you move back soon.

We Love to Run

Saturday was a great day. We all woke up at 4:30am to make it to Tahoe by 6am for yet another Burst family race. The girls were very excited to run in their second race. They took 1st and 2nd and both took home a spectacular red ribbon. They are working on quite the collection. Greg decided to take the double stroller and join me on the 5k. Greg won the 5k race and I came in 3rd overall, but first in the women's 5k jogging stroller category. After our morning stroll we decided to go for a short hike next to the lake. It was a beautiful morning and we certainly got in enough exercise to later enjoy a family meal at Red Robin. YUUUUUM! We can't wait until our next family running adventure.
