Don't Be Jealous

Of the tights!!

Sorry to disappoint, but there are no action shots of this race. Greg decided that 8am was too early to go out and watch me run. It was for the best because it was freezing Sat. morning, not to mention windy. I had fun though and finished the 5k in under 30 min. which was my goal. My next run is in May, so I better stop eating and start running. I have upped the anney on this race, it will be a 10k (6 miles) high altitude, obstacle course , complete with a 6 foot climbing wall, tire run and multiple tunnels to crawl through. I'm thoroughly looking forward to it. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't include a giant mud pit.

We Love You Dad

I just wanted to take a moment to remember my Dad. He passed away Wednesday evening at home. We all knew that he was not in good health when he came home from the hospital, but you never expect things to happen so fast.

Hidden Treasure?

We were turning the soil in our garden the other day- another hint to Mother nature that we are ready for Spring, and we found some treasure (at least according to the girls).

Another Cloudy Day?!?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really getting quite tired of gray, cloudy skies. In an attempt to hurry Spring up, the girls and I decided to paint bird houses. We wanted to give mother nature a clue that we NEED warmer weather. Not only will we be happier, but the birds will as well. Sunshine where are you?

Drum Roll Please.....

I know you all have been at the edge of your seats to find out what the March goal is..., well, I'm finally ready to reveal. I will be attempting to exercise 6 times per week, for the whole month. To top off all my hard work I will run a 5k (3.1 miles) at the end of the month.

Home At Last

My dad is finally home after 42 days of being in the hospital. He is doing OK, but is still very weak, cold and tired. It will still be a long road ahead as he tries to adjust to his new requirements. There were several occasions when we didn't think he was going to pull through, so we are all very happy that he fought hard, and hope that he will listen better and take care of his body.

Finally!!

I'm done painting the living room!!! It only took about two months, that's not bad considering that I was working around three busy children and a room full of heavy furniture. I think I'm done with painting for a long time. I'm very happy with the results. These pictures aren't that great, so you will just have to trust me when I say that it is marvelous.

The pictures are even back on the walls. We just did that on Sat.

This picture is really just showcasing our new TV stand :)

you can see the difference between the colors in this corner shot. Amy did a fabulous job making the corner perfect

Greg even replaced all our outlet covers. They were that yucky 70's style brown, now they are a fresh updated white that really makes the color on the walls pop.
