Living In A Snow Globe

Been enjoying the weather lately? I was looking out the window yesterday and laughed to myself as I observed the fat, juicy snowflakes falling delicately from the sky, but at the same time the sun was shining. I believe Mother Nature was a little bored and decided to shake things up.

These beautiful tulips are confused too- they havn't even opened up yet

Just A Little Light Reading

Beowulf or Macbeth, Beowulf or Macbeth, I just can't decide

Beowulf it is

On second thought maybe I should go with Macbeth

Yes, this is definitely better, I'm almost through

Refreshing

For the last three years we have journeyed to Grass Valley and Bridgeport to seek out beautiful wildflowers. This year was not to disappoint, we found many fine specimens, not to mention some interesting fauna as well. Lots of birds, butterflies, lizards, newts and did I mention a bobcat? It truly was relaxing and nice to get away.

Great Find

These are wonderful! They are smaller than a regular Popsicle, so they are easier for little hands to hold. They also mixed in some gelatin so they don't melt as fast. In fact, for the last two days my kids have been enjoying these and I have not had to clean up a yucky, sticky mess. Love it!!

MIssInG: OnE EasTeR BuNnY & DoZenS oF eGgs

We thought we were going to an Easter egg hunt this morning....complete with one genuine Easter bunny, face painting, bounce house and the spectacular run, grab, push, fill up your basket egg hunt. We arrive at UNR at said 10am to find- NOTHING. Oh, sorry, there were other sad disappointed faces carrying around empty baskets. Not to despair! Word spread of another such gathering nearby. Luckily the trusted miniracer would not fail us. We found not one, but two egg hunts. We headed to the one that was less bombarded with crazy eyed children ready to be amped up on too much Easter goodness. This said egg hunt was supposed to take place at 10:30am, the time came and went and no eggs were to be seen. The "official" informed us that the hunt would not begin until 11:30am. I asked myself, "Self, who would make a bunch of cold, excited, anticipation filled children wait for approx.an hour and a half to find eggs?" Maybe it's just me, but I thought that was a little loony. We left both egg hunts still searching for that one bunny and those dozen eggs.

How can you possibly dissapoint a face like this?

You can see that Anton did not take it as well as the girls

I will give the second hunt a little credit- they did have a bounce house.

Happy April

Hopefully you all played a wonderful joke on your friends or loved ones yesterday :) I called Greg at worked at told him that KJ's school called and informed me that she had chicken pox and I needed to pick her up immediately. He totally fell for it, I almost felt bad saying "April Fools". He hung up on me and didn't call back. He was just mad that I got him first.
I can't believe that it is already April!! I will be attempting to finish at least one of the girls sun dresses (hopefully I will have time for both, because whichever girl doesn't get a dress will undoubtedly throw a huge fit, run down the hall, and slam the door.) On second thought, I better do both. I started these dresses when I was prego with Anton, I know, shameful. To my credit I have been accomplishing quite a few other projects along with surviving life. Wish me luck, and as always I will keep you updated.
