Climb On!

Greg's mom has been in town for the last week and we have done a lot of fun things. We decided that since it was freezing cold outside that we would take the kids to Rock Sport. Everyone had a blast, the girls and Mummo even made it to the top of the wall several times and rang the bell. Anton didn't do any climbing, but he did enjoy eating and throwing anything he could get his hands on. Including, but not limited to, bolts, cut up rubber mats, and old carpet. Yummy! Myself, I was the official family photographer. The job doesn't pay much, but the memories are priceless.

Greg making his way to the top

The bell is in sight

And RJ's got it

Raija made it all the way to the top!! Ring, Ring, Ring!

Coming down

It's a race to the top! RJ is in the lead- she ended up winning. You go little monkey, that's two in a row, she's unbeatable.

KJ and Uncle Travis- KJ is enjoying a free ride on the ropes. Don't pay any attention to the chalk orbs.

Wow! I was way up there?

Anton learning to belay

Haha, I found another chew toy

Mummo attempting her first climb. Please don't break anything or hurt yourself

Is that Spiderwoman?

Sweet move Kajaani!

Raija also got to celebrate her B-day at school. she got a really cool B-day crown and mommy brought her a Wendy's kids meal and ate lunch with her.

Christmas 2010

This was a fun and exciting Christmas, yet full of quiet reflection at the same time. This is the first Christmas without my dad. I was a little sad when all of the family gathered and we realized that Greg was the only adult male presence. My grandpa has been absent for the last two holidays. It is interesting how life changes and new traditions form as people around you pass away. We certainly enjoyed one another's company, but the absences were definitely noticed. All the kids certainly enjoyed one another’s company and all their new toys. I'm happy to report that KJ and RJ LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their kitchen. It was a huge success. Greg and I also tried really hard this year to emphasize the true meaning of Christmas.

You have to set out cookies for Santa....in our house Santa prefers Oreo's and Grandma Burst's candy cane cookies

Anton enjoying Santa's crumbs

I love my cousin- notice that they are holding hands

Grandma Day made all the girl cousins matching hula girl dolls

Anton thoroughly enjoying Christmas dinner

KJ was so cute, she had colored this Dora picture for RJ a few weeks ago and had it wrapped and hidden in a special spot for RJ's birthday. I truly love that they are becoming such great sisters.

Hello Kitty walkie talkies- who doesn't want these? The girls have already had loads of fun talking to each other. Thanks Kel and Ash
