KJ and I had a Mommy daughter weekend. We both had a blast! We started our Saturday morning off with a Jr. 1 mile run, KJ did great, she was the 5th kid to finish and the second girl. She ended up with a finisher medal and a medal for second place, later she also won a free u-swirl frozen yogurt. Lucky kid! I then pushed KJ in the jogging stroller for the 5k. We headed off to a really fun Easter egg hunt and then to the mall. I just have to mention that I have not been to the mall in a long time, it was CRAZY. KJ picked out a puppy at Build-A Bear and named her Ariel. Our last stop was none other than Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Yogurt (yeah, I added a couple extra mmmm's, but it's totally that good!)
Greg spent part of his weekend tearing apart his truck doors to replace the door locks. More than half the time when you pushed the lock or unlock button nothing would happened. It became annoying enough that Greg decided to fix it. The video tutorial he watched on the internet said it would only take 30 or so min. about two hours later Greg had the job done. We are thrilled that the locks now obey our every command!
Saturday was an excellent day. We volunteered at Rancho's semi-annual clean up. They have one in March and one in the fall where you can help plant bulbs. Last fall they planted thousands of daffodil bulbs, they are in full bloom throughout the park (see end of post.) The girls are studying Earth Day this month so it was nice to get out and help spruce it up a bit.
squish it down and tie it up
squish, squish, squish
Up next, pick up sticks- and break then into teeny, tiny pieces. I just love the look of pure concentration on Anton's face
