Last camping trip of the season :( School starts in one week. We enjoyed hiking, fishing, eating and relaxing. The star gazing at night was also amazing, we could clearly see the milky way and we were lucky enough to be in the mountains when a meteor shower was happening. We saw several shooting stars.
Greg got KJ all set up and headed off to help RJ, he only had his back turned for a minute and lucky KJ had already caught a fish. It literally took her less than a minute to catch her fish.
RJ had to work a little harder for her fish, but she eventually caught one and was very happy. Greg BBQ the fish up when we got home and the kids said it was yummy. No, I did not eat any, not my thing.
We always have to go on a hike. RJ set a goal before we started to hike the whole thing without being carried. She hiked all 5 1/2 miles without being carried. Great job RJ! The hike in was all down hill, so we told her that the climb out was going to be tough, she was determined to reach her goal and she did it (without complaining)
We found an amazing lunch spot- wildflowers, streams, rocks, and hummingbirds.
Beautiful area
