I'm Home

Anton finally came home on Monday night. He was almost in the hospital for two weeks. We are all trying to adjust to a new baby. Since he is still not strong enough to nurse and still doesn't quite know how it makes for a long day and night. I pump, then feed him the bottle. It takes up a lot of time, but I am not quite ready to give up the hope that when he gets stronger he will nurse. Wish me luck that I can make it that long. Everything else seems to be going fine, we just need him to get stronger and eat faster. It takes him about a half-hour to eat two ounces :( Wake up buddy. I take him to the doctor tomorrow so we will see if he is gaining weight and making good progress. Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts.

  3. It always seems so much better when they are home. We are so happy for you. I hope you are able to take some time to really enjoy him, I know it's hard with other kids demanding your attention. We wish we were there to help out with your other kiddos. Good luck with nursing, I personally have no advice because I flunked out with that. Post more pictures, I want to see you cute little boy!

  4. Newborns are always hard, especially when they sleep when they should be eating! I'm sure it is especially hard that he's pre-mature and still wants food to come through his umbilical cord, instead of having to work for it. But I'm sure he's a tough little guy and will catch up soon. We're thinking about you constantly and wish you the best of luck with everything. Keep us posted...we love you.

  6. Hey Kris and Greg,

Hang in there. You are so great for continuing to try and breastfeed. We will be praying for you and the baby (and the rest of your family).
