All about Apples

We've begun a study of "all about apples". Why not start it off with a wonderful homemade treat. Yummy applesauce! It was still warm when we ate it for dinner.

1. Round up some cute helpers

2. The recipe calls for 8 medium red apples, but I doubled that and used the green apples that we already had in the fridge

3. Core apples

4. Peel

5. Cut into medium to small pieces

6. Add 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (I added 1tsp 'cause I like it spicy)

7. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours. Checking every 1/2 hour or so, then cook on low for an additional 2 hours

8. Mash a little, or mash a lot- however you like it

9. Put in a pretty bowl

10. ENJOY!! I think it tastes oh so yummy warm.

Raija gave it two thumbs up

Anton just ate it up
